Life begins at your comfort zone

So... this pretty much sums up me right now.
I love reading- it basically my most favoritest thing in the world. What makes that better? Oh, doing it outside:) I love being out in the sun- you just feel warm, with not a care in the world (at the moment)
I am also just a big old fashioned girl at heart, I hate is when a woman acts like she is dumb just go get a guy's attention (so annoying!) or thinks that getting married is just going to solve all her problems. But, I am a sucker for when a guy opens the door for me, and I like to dress so that guys can use their imagination, at least a little bit;) Not quite sure what that makes me...
Life begins at your comfort zone: how true that is. This semester I have not made a whole lot of headway with the whole talking-to-people-even-though-I-don't-wanna thing, but I have made headway on doing scary things. I have become a bit of a junkie for jumping off things?
Bonfires? Yeah, they're awesome. As previously stated, I love being warm and a fire helps out with that :) And, the smell just reminds me of my childhood and of my dad. Every girl has a soft spot in her heart for her daddy right?
Last weekend I went to the lake with some friends and tried jumping off a rope swing for the first time.I am proud to say I did it three times! (It takes a surprisingly lot of strength to hurl your body off a log quickly)  I may or may not have biffed it the first time. I fell off the rope with style and barreled into the lake. The lake was so gorgeous! But it was still really cold- apparently I ran into the lake Baywatch style... major awkward. I wasn't trying out, I promise. Basically I just love being outside. Plain and simple.

THINGS THAT MAKE MOLLY HAPPY:]
  • I got a lot of homework done today! Yay for being productive
  • Tori burned me the new Maroon 5 CD and, I love it!
  • Air conditioning, yep its pretty rad
  • I get to go home for July 4th! (best holiday after Christmas, hands down)
  • Reading on my kindle I have been trying to watch less tv and read more.
  • My legs hurt from running. A good kind of hurt
  • I didn't wake up once last night while sleeping!
  • I made the guilt free alfredo sauce for dinner and it was freaking fantastic
  • The semester countdown has begun! Less than a month

I'm all crafty now

Right now: I am listening to All Time Low. I will forever love them.

Sharpie + Dollar Store mugs + Bake at 350 for 30 mins = easiest personalization ever. (pride and prejudice!)I made one of these! Except, I did different quotes ( I don't have my camera handy, so you get the pinterest pictures:) It is super easy, you just get some cheap mugs - make sure they are super clean, its gross to clean it off later. You write on them with sharpie, and then put them in the oven at 350 for 25-30 minutes and voila. Cutesy mug for almost nothing.

So, sometimes I get a bit down on my situation in life. Who doesn't have those crappy days? Well, just remember...

Happiness

THINGS THAT MAKE MOLLY HAPPY:]

  • Friends who make class go by quicker

Overcoming fears

Right Now: I am listening to Sleeping with Sirens

This last week I have done lots of things I am terrified of. So... I felt pretty proud of myself.
Thursday night Michael invited me to go out to the sand dunes and so we all went to St. Anthony. It was super fun (didn't have my ipod, so no pics). We had some a fire going, people were throwing a frisbee and a football around, and we jumped off the edge of the dunes into the sand. Kyle also took me on a three wheeler, (which was the terrifying part of the evening) but so worth it! We also roasted marshmallows and star bursts while we talked about celebrities and later laid in the sand looking at the stars (which you CANNOT see in Rexburg :/).

Friday night comes around and I thinking I will probably stay in and finish my homework, and just finish my homework and watch a movie. Well, I decide to text Nikki (she keeps me sane in Math) and we all went out to the Civil Defense Caves. I love climbing, but it was just a bit scary because it was super dark (duh) and I didn't have a flashlight so... I was kind of winging it. Then we played glow-in-the-dark hide and go seek which I am the champ at:)

Then we built a fire at the Sand Dunes on the way back to Rexburg. I did not participate in building the fire at all, but I was sitting right there next to the fire when a ranger came up to us and told us we built the fire on the wrong side of the road... major awk moment. So, I was pretty scared when he was talking to us (I was afraid someone was going to say something stupid and make him mad).
But, he said we just had to let it burn out then remove the scar of the fire by the next day... So we turned the music back up and had fun until the fire went out.
Saturday I went cliff jumping in Ririe with Caitlin's apartment. It was a little scary at first, just because the edge wasn't smooth like the bridge at Monkey Rock. But, it wasn't very high, so it balanced out;)

THINGS THAT MAKE MOLLY HAPPY:]

  • Skyping with Kate!
  • Discovering new music
  • The smell of fresh air (The Ivy doesn't let you open your windows, so I relish the opportunities I have)
  • TOMS (my most favoritest shoe ever, they are so comfy. I am getting tan line, it looks a little funny)
  •  A clean room
  • Being able to wear skirts when its bleedin' hot outside
  • Exercising- my legs aren't looking too bad
  • Ice cream... I eat a lot of it. I should buy stock in G's Dairy and Nielson's Frozen Custard
  • My hair is growing! (hopefully it keeps going...)

I have a job for the 7 week break! And it will give pay 9.50 an hour (2.25 more than I would get paid here in Rexburg) and I will get 90 hours a week! Basically, its just awesome. I am excited to work with those lovely ladies below, and climbing the elevators again (and being able to see all of the tiny towns I am cleaning) and rock climbing after work! (and Red Robins:)

There is just something about washing the campfire smell out of your hair and cleaning sand out of your jeans that makes me smile. Because while I am digging the sand out of my jeans, I remembers how it got there. Like jumping off the edge and landing in the sand. And riding the three wheeler with Kyle and legitimately feeling terrified it was going to tip  over and sitting around the fire roasting mallows. Without fail I think of the Sandlot every time I make a smore.  Oh, and the Capri Suns  were delicious, and they reminded me of my childhood.

happiness.

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass... Its about learning to dance in the rain :)

Its summer!

There is just something awesome about being a kid again and reliving the glory days. I remember climbing the apple tree (hard to climb back down), jumping off the chicken house roof (try to not get caught by Mom), aaand building forts. With lots of pillows and blankets. So we recreated my childhood for one night. I have not built one in a long time, so  it required the use of our imaginations and a lot of safety pins. We then proceeded to watch Prison Break and then Jim Gaffigan. He is so funny!

I went bridge jumping! As in, I actually jumped off the bridge! I felt so proud of myself. It was I am not going to lie... I-Cover was not my favorite Saturday night here in the Burg. But, I was there with Tori and Allison, so they make pretty much everything awesome.
